2016 WSIS Forum
The 2016 World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Forum was held in Geneva on 2-6 May 2016 with the theme of WSIS Action Lines: Supporting the Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). DPADM/UNDESA convened two meetings as facilitators of the WSIS action lines C1 on the role of public governance authorities and all stakeholders in the promotion of ICTs for development and C11 on International and Regional Cooperation and action line C7 on e-Government. The themes of meetings are “The Role of Public Authorities and Global/Regional Cooperation in Ensuring that No One is Left Behind in the Information Society” and “How e-Government can ensure that no one is left behind in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)”. 15th Session of Committee of Experts on Public Administration
The UN Committee of Experts on Public Administration (CEPA) met for its 15th Session in New York from 18 to 22 April 2016. Experts from 21 countries discussed how to transform and equip public institutions to play their critical role in the implementation and review of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
