Objective of the UN Public Service Forum
The primary objective of the United Nations Public Service Forum (UNPSF) is to contribute to the development of institutional, human and technological capacities of public sector Institutions and public servants to deliver on the 2030 Agenda its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Its ultimate goal is to contribute to developing the capacity of governments to accelerate action towards the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and to tap into the opportunities and synergies arising from the momentum for the Decade of Action to realise the SDGs.
In this context, the Forum will provide a platform for Ministers and other senior decision-makers to reflect upon and develop the skills needed to devise tangible actions to advance progress in realizing the SDGs over the coming decade. Participants will also have the opportunity to debate emerging issues and trends, discuss good practices, strategies, accelerated actions, and innovative approaches for effective service delivery and transforming institutions.
The Forum also plays host to the United Nations Public Service Awards Ceremony, which recognizes innovation in the field of public service.
