Remote Participation for the 2016 WSIS Forum Facilitation Meetings
DPADM/UNDESA and ITU will be organizing two facilitation meetings during the 2016 World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Forum. The themes of meetings will be “The Role of Public Authorities and Global/Regional Cooperation in Ensuring that No One is Left Behind in the Information Society” and “How e-Government can ensure that no one is left behind in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)”. The facilitation meetings will provide a platform for participants to exchange information and experiences; to identify priority areas for implementation within the Action Lines and to explore synergies among different stakeholders for more effective knowledge sharing and collaboration in the implementation process. 15th Session of Committee of Experts on Public Administration
The UN Committee of Experts on Public Administration (CEPA) met for its 15th Session in New York from 18 to 22 April 2016. Experts from 21 countries discussed how to transform and equip public institutions to play their critical role in the implementation and review of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
