This meeting will serve as the inception meeting for the World Public Sector Report 2023. The report is scheduled for publication in 2023. It will review recent institutional innovations and how they could be mobilized to improve the delivery of public services, help governments assess competing priorities and address difficult policy trade-offs, and contribute to reshaping the relationship between governments and people. The meeting will gather a small group of experts together with the report team in UNDESA/DPIDG. Participants will consider the key issues that should be addressed under each chapter of the report, and hone in both on topics that warrant highlighting through targeted contributions, as well as experts who could address them.
