On 25 October, post-conflict governance experts (see participants’ list) gathered at the UN Headquarters to examine innovative approaches to confront post-conflict challenges in an integrated and coherent manner.

The expert group meeting (EGM), organized by DESA/DPADM, informed the preparations of the World Public Sector Report 2017 (WPSR) through an exchange of experiences among UN Agencies and outside experts on the role of public institutions and public administration to integrate sustainable development and peace in post-conflict situations. Participants discussed ways to foster integrated approaches among the pillars of peace, human rights and development, and among the different levels of government. They also shared experiences of people engagement in peace and development processes and how they can be pursued within the framework of the 2030 Agenda.
