Division for Public Institutions and Digital Government (DPIDG)The Division for Public Institutions and Digital Government (DPIDG) is a division of the Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) of the United Nations Secretariat, which reports to the General Assembly and the Economic and Social Council. DPIDG provides secretariat support to the United Nations Programme on Public Administration and Development. It helps countries build and strengthen their public governance and administration capacities. It assists the Member States of the United Nations in fostering efficient, effective, transparent, accountable, clean and citizen-centered public governance, administration and services through innovation and technology to achieve the internationally agreed development goals including the SDGs. It stresses innovative approaches to public management, particularly through e-government development.
