To Build a vibrant Organization to serve the marginalised Brahmin Community members in Andhra Pradesh for their overall development, which includes economic, social, religious and cultural life on a sustainable basis in a selfless and inspirational manner. To provide support to the Community in the areas of Social (Education, Shelter, Food Clothing & Health), Economic (Entrepreneurship, Leadership, Business Management Capabilities, Skill Building for Wage Employment), Cultural (Undertake cultural and spiritual activities to instill values among Brahmin youth separately and also in collaboration with Endowments Dept.) Bottlenecks, Challenges, constraints that triggered the Organization to conceptualize this project: • This is the first of its kind Corporation in the country, established by the State Govt. for the welfare of Brahmin Community • There is no database / census records of Brahmin population is available • Lean organization structure with only 5-6 staff members at State Level • Reaching the Poorest of the Poor to benefit With the above challenges and constraints, we have designed a comprehensive Enterprise Architecture to provide integrated services, making technology as differentiator in implementing all the welfare schemes by the Corporation under one umbrella.

To help the needy members of Brahmin Community in the areas of: Education, Employment, Health and Poverty alleviation in particular for poor, women, widows and Employment/ Career / Entrepreneurship guidance Building life skills such as Values, Attitude, Self-Management and Interpersonal skills, Knowledge sharing through Learning programs, Lectures and Publications To leverage the good work done by Brahmin organizations/NGOs To build a volunteer network who can contribute financially, intellectually, emotionally and spiritually To create forums for networking opportunities To raise funds, grants and endowments from donors and philanthropists to help more citizens

This Corporation has been initiated by the State Government in the state of Andhra Pradesh where the community has been neglected since ages in the areas of education, entrepreneurship and in providing jobs. Most of the community members who are in the professions of Archakas, Purohits, Cooks and in clerical positions in the rural areas and most of them are not able to afford their livelihood, housing, basic education for their children. To addresses the issues and to uplift the community especially in the area of education and livelihood, the Govt of Andhra Pradesh has established a separate corporation in December, 2014.

The Corporation has been providing financial assistance to the marginalised community members especially in the areas of education from 1st standard to Post Graduation. Assisting for coaching for competitive exams to get a government job and skill development to get an employment in their respective industry. Providing financial assistance to set up small scale industries for livelihood. Also introduced several welfare schemes such as monthly pension to widows, destitute, old age people.

Studied the processes implemented by various other welfare organizations. They all are basically having offices at Mandal / District level, collecting the applications physically for some schemes and through citizen service centers for some other schemes. They process the collected applications and process from Mandal level office to District level and then to State Level Offices manually, which result in enormous delay in the benefit to reach the applicant. The Architecture of Brahmin Welfare Corporation has been designed in such a way that applicant can directly submits his application online (through website) and the benefit directly goes directly to the applicant, without giving a chance for any middlemen.

The uniqueness of the Corporation is that there is no middleman involved at any stage, starting from registration of application to disbursement of scheme benefit in any of the schemes that are being implemented by the Corporation. For all the above schemes applications have been invited through online (www.andhrabrahmin.ap.gov.in) and the amounts are being disbursed online to the beneficiaries’ accounts directly. As on 9th January, 2018 over 50,000 poor citizens of Andhra Pradesh have got benefited.

The uniqueness of the Corporation's activities is that there is no middleman involved at any stage, starting from registration of application to disbursement of scheme benefit in any of the corporation's schemes. For all the above schemes applications have been invited through online (www.andhrabrahmin.ap.gov.in) and the amounts are being disbursed online to the beneficiaries’ accounts directly.

It is the first of its Corporation to the Brahmin Community in India. All the schemes have been designed keeping in view of the requirement of Brahmin community. The processes implemented in this corporation is completely new. Website is the single medium of interaction for receiving applications and also medium of communication on the status of their applications, which resulted in avoiding middle-men / brokers / commission agents and thus improved transparency and maintained ethical standards.

Apart from the Managing Director who is an All India Services officer, Corporation hired professionals who are having IT knowledge and practical knowledge. A lean 8-member team is working with this corporation. Government of Andhra Pradesh has been funding the corporation.

All the schemes are relevant to other welfare departments of all the states in India. The processes have been re-engineered and implemented successfully. The same processes can be adopted by other welfare departments and the Government of Telangana has created similar organization and also following the same processes

As all the processes have been automated the system will run with minimum manual intervention. The schemes initiated by the Corporation are for all the age groups which will give confidence in public for their social life and their betterment, in the areas of Education, Coaching & Skill Development, Entrepreneurship, Welfare and Cultural.

Government is very keen to uplift the lives of poorest of the poor. Especially the state Government is looking forward to extend the schemes developed by the Brahmin Welfare Corporation to other economically backward citizens of all the communities in the State of Andhra Pradesh.

There are several NGOs, individuals, associations of which some are engaged in similar activities, funded by some wholehearted individuals. However, this is at a small level and limited to very small group. However the government envisaged the need to help the needy Brahmin Community members in a large scale and using robust technology. The corporation, from the day one, has implemented a robust IT platform for implementation of its programmes. This helped the Government to reach the beneficiaries directly, without any mediator / middlemen and without delay, with transparent and efficient manner. The corporation is in the process of collaboration with NGOs, Brahmin Associations, Skill Development Corporation, Cooperative Credit Society and similar organizations for better services in the areas of Education, Coaching and Skill Development, Entrepreneurship, Welfare and Cultural activities.

1. Reaching the rural people: To reach the community members in rural areas and educate them on the schemes of the corporation, we have engaged community members on voluntary basis. 2. Educate on online registration and services : To educate on online registration of applications and services, we have trained the local internet service providers and also interested unemployed youth who came forward to help the applicants on voluntary basis. 3. Bring the scattered community together: With the help of local Brahmin Associations, we have conducted more than 1000 meetings at Village and Mandal level and addressed more than a lakh people personally. 4. Skilling and placement : The Corporation is now focusing on 100% placement based Skill development.
