It is a village where people are mainly engaged in agriculture, which often faces the problem of low product prices, but the price of production factors has increased and physical problems made the farming unsuccessful. Farmers have no additional income. They have to borrow money from financial institutions or other sources of loan to be used for household expenses. Khon Kaen Province has provided a cricket to be the 1 of 6 economic animals that promotes to generate income for the people and to push Ban Saen Tor to be a village of cricket, the future food. At the provincial level, there is a way to develop Ban Saen Tor to be a provincial cricket outlet, by bringing various information to solve problems through the group community together. It is able to generate income for the people in the community sustainably. There is a turnover in the village of up to 27,300,000 baht/year. They are the first group of cricket farmers in Thailand that has received the most GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) standards, which have been certified to 21 farms from 30 farms across the country. It is known as “Thailand's first GAP cricket village”

Sustainable Development Agenda 2 is to eradicate hunger and increase food stability. Sustainable Development Agenda 5 promotes gender equality. Sustainable Development Agenda 1, poverty eradication At present, raising crickets can generate income to the people covering 111 households. People have more income approximately 337,000 baht per household per year and made money to the village as much as 27,300,000 baht per year. Sustainable Development Agenda 2: eliminating hunger and ensuring food security. They have 273 tons per year of cricket production and more income almost 4,550,000 baht per generation. They can raise 5-6 generations per year and also has a large group of cricket plots to upgrade the production and processing of crickets in the form of protein powder. Environmental dimension: Promotion of alternative Chemical - free, especially cassava cultivation to use as crickets’ food and promoting the use of biological products such as Trichoderma and Beauveria fungi to replace chemicals. This method can reduce the cost and making a positive impact to environment, producers and consumers.

Output : At present, Ban Saen Tor has 81 households raising crickets out of 111 households, In the past, villagers had income from farming amount of 68,753 baht/household/year. Currently, people earn an average of 337,000 baht/household/year from raising crickets. It is makes money circulating in the village up to 27,300,000 baht/year Outcome : Consider in terms of a better quality of life from the increase of income and access to 4 factors which can enhance the livelihood of Ban Sean Tor: Create jobs and generate income for households as well as reducing the movement of migrant workers within the community. Increase career stability. People have their own residence and help depend on each other Impact : Most of the villagers of Saen Tor can be planted once a year. Therefore, it must find a way to generate income for the households by choosing a cricket raising activity. In addition, raising crickets provides a quick return. It has an average raising period of 45 days/generation and can raise 5-6 generations per year, People have a better quality of life.

In 2007, Nam Phong District Agricultural Extension Office under the supervision of the Office of Director of Khon Kaen Provincial Agricultural Extension Office with the Agricultural Occupation Promotion and Development Center (Bee Center) promoted cricket farming because crickets can be fed as household food and can be raised as a supplementary occupation. Then they organized a forum to exchange knowledge together with the people's sector to find the problems and needs of the people in the community, in 2007, about 10 households of starter raising crickets farmers. In 2021, at present, Ban Saen Tor there are a total of 111 households, but there are 81 farmers who raise crickets, representing 72% of the total households, and another 30 households are employed to raise crickets in the village of Saen Tor. It can be seen that raising crickets can generate income both directly and indirectly for the people covering 111 households or 100%. People earn more money on average 337,000 baht/household/year. The village costs as much as 27,300,000 baht / year. The Ban Saen Tor cricket farmers group is considered the first group in Thailand that accept the most certified GAP (Good Agricultural Practices), which has been certified by 21 farms from 30 farms across the country until it is reputed. "It's the first GAP cricket village in Thailand" and the group also joined the project to upgrade large plots with modern agriculture and link the market in Khon Kaen province to receive support from the government. Evaluation by The B.E.2554 Khon Kaen’s 200th Anniversary Foundation for Education The evaluation of the millionaire village: Baan Sean Tor cricket farmers’ community enterprise or “The Millionaire from Cricket of Saen Tor” project was conducted between July and October 2021, with the interview performed in October 2021. This evaluation is consider as goal-based evaluation a formative evaluation to monitoring the progress of the project. The evaluation conducted using two evaluation methods (a) Secondary Data Analysis, the evaluator team evaluated the relevant secondary data received from the pertinent agencies such as the project documents, intercept reports, meeting notes, government orders and memo notes, presentation, web page and other related documents (b) Semi-structured interview with Sean Tor Cricket farmers who were the active member of Sean Tor Cricket Famers’ Community Enterprise and with the officials at Khon Kaen Provincial Agricultural Extension Office who were responsible to oversee the project. The interview was used to confirm information and finding from secondary data analysis. Due to covid-19 pandemic situation, teleconference and web conference tools conducted all of interviews.

The following indicators of achievement were used to determine the extent to which the aforementioned expected outcome was achieved: Indicator 1. Number of cricket farmers joining the Sean Tor community enterprise Indicator 2. The increase of cricket farming production Indicator 3. The increase of revenue derived from the cricket farming Indicator 4. The knowledge distribution and the use of the data Indicator 5. The expansion of the supply market Indicator 6. The increase of GAP (Good Agricultural Practice) certification.

Saen Tor villagers can develop cricket farming to become the main occupation of the community. Because they join and manage together. It made a combination of production and sold together with a certain market. Each step can help to make a good relationship between farmers in terms of raising marketing information, experiences, and knowledge as well as improving the quality of the product. They can increase distribution channels. Until it can be developed into resources to learn about raising crickets that can transfer knowledge to outsiders interested in raising cricket. It is a village that has been successful in raising crickets. They have community stability, sustainable income, and eliminate poverty from the community. Cricket was supported as inputs in cricket raising and promoting the use of bio-based products instead of chemicals. 3) A project requesting budget support from the Energy Conservation Promotion Fund.
